About Automata

 

Automata is Head Chef Clayton Wells' first solo restaurant, bringing a movable approach to a frequently changing five-course menu. Components stem from Clayton’s varied background at some of Australia and Europe’s dining institutions. Menus are formulated with freedom and energy that translates into the dining room, with beverages and pairings beyond wine. The warehouse style space along Kensington Street includes a mezzanine and communal tables.

On Fridays and Saturdays we serve two lunch menus.
Our 3-course menu for $55, and our 5-course menu for $88.
Both menus offer wine pairing.

Clayton created Automata with the intention of showcasing local produce in a way that pays tribute to all the cultural experiences he has cultivated whilst working and travelling abroad.
